Ideal for Trail runners and hikers who want a cushioned, roomy, zero-drop shoe with dependable waterproofing and grip for long, wet, or muddy outings where comfort and stability matter more than speed.
Trail shoes in NORMA's database last between 320 and 850 km across 315 models. At 570 km, the Altra Timp 6 Gtx sits in the lower half of that range.
The Altra Timp 6 GTX is the waterproof version of Altra's all-round trail shoe, aimed at long trails and all-day time on foot. It pairs a 30mm Altra EGO MAX midsole with a zero-drop, Standard FootShape platform for shock absorption and a natural stance, and adds a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane that keeps feet dry without the stiffness typical of waterproof shoes. A redesigned Vibram Megagrip outsole improves traction on wet rock, boardwalk, and loose ground. The upper was reworked for a better locked-in fit and roomier instep, with a fresh mesh built for stress-free long efforts. It runs cushioned and secure, equally at home hiking or running, though at around 335g it is on the heavy side for faster days.
